This section outlines the mounting requirements for each component in the Cordel Wave-OEM.

Mechanical mounting requirements for the system are heavily dedicated by the Field of View (FOV) requirement of the LiDAR, Antennas, and Camera.

There are three main mounting requirements that must be considered when integrating the Cordel Evaluation Units.

# LiDAR

The LiDAR sensor has a strong FOV requirement for mounting. To get the most out of the unit, the sensor must be mounted in a way that allows for the sensor to direct its laser channels directly at the area of interest. For most installs, the ideal FOV is a 360° unobstructed view of the target corridor. The LiDAR sensor has a +15°, -16° vertical FOV with 32 laser channels.

# INS Antennas

The INS Antennas require good sky-view to obtain uncorrupted GNSS signals. When mounting this system please make sure that the antennas are situated on top of the target vehicle to ensure they have adequate sky-view. Also, ensure that there are not any vertical structures directly next to the antennas, as this can cause GNSS multipathing that will cause the GNSS solution to be less accurate. A general rule is to allow for a 15° vertical incline from the base of the antenna. Ensure no vertical structures are within roughly 2 meters of the antenna.

The Cordel Wave-OEM can use a dual antenna solution. This allows for higher accuracy and heading derivation. Please ensure the two antennas are placed at least 1 meter apart, as this is a requirement of the system to determine heading accurately.  Lever arm offset of the primary antenna to the INS system should be measured as well as the offset from the primary to the secondary antenna as this will be used in the [Configuration Calibration](https://corridor1.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSD/pages/1442873420) section.

# Camera

The camera system should be mounted in a position that allows for the system to target the recommended area of interest. In typical installation cases, this will point in the direction of the LiDAR mapping direction. Ensure that there are no obstructions in the frame to ensure the best quality data.
