The Cordel Cloud Sync software can also be used for loading one or more LAS/LAZ files with an associated trajectory. This is to support the use case where the LiDAR data has been captured by a system different to the Cordel Capture Hardware. Only limited trajectory file formats are supported and will typically be supported on a per customer basis only. Once the LAS/LAZ files and associated trajectory data have been confirmed in the Cordel Cloud Sync software, it is uploaded to the Cordel Cloud for further processing.

This is the same process as for the Cordel Capture Hardware, once the LAS/LAZ files and associated trajectory are loaded into the Cordel Cloud Sync software.

Before selecting data for upload the map projection needs to set via the **Set Projection** button and the appropriate selection made from the list:

Once the projection has been set the captured data set can be imported. Use the **Select Directory** button above the file list. To select files for BYOD ensure the “Anything else (*.*)” option is selected in the open dialog, then highlight all files to be imported. The **Recursive** option will scan through sub-directories for matching files if the sub-directories are selected.

Once files have selected then click the **Open** button. The selected files will be imported and location data displayed on the map. The example below shows an example set of LAZ files and associated trajectory data:

The LAZ file boundaries are highlighted in a different colour for each LAZ file. The blue trajectory can be seen in the map as well. At this point you must confirm that the set of LAZ files cover the area of interest and that the trajectory runs through the set of LAZ file bounds that are required to be processed.

> ⚠️ If the trajectory doesn’t run through the bounds of the LAZ file displayed in the map then the LiDAR data contained in that LAZ file will not be used for processing

The data upload process is the same as for the Cordel Capture Hardware. A single job/mission is created in the Cordel Cloud for the BYOD use case.

Once the LAS/LAZ files and associated trajectory data have been uploaded to the Cordel Cloud, they can be selected for additional processing. Processing does not necessarily need to be done immediately as the Cordel Cloud will retain all mission data uploaded.

Once jobs/missions have been selected for processing and subsequently processed by the Cordel Cloud processing pipeline, additional data such as fused point clouds (LAZ files), location information (trajectory) and camera imagery can be analysed.

To confirm successful job/mission created and successful data upload, the Cordel Cloud web interfaces are utilised. The diagram below shows an example of a single job with two missions. Note the web view below is an example only:

The description of the web interfaces for confirming uploaded data and results from processing in the Cordel Cloud (CorridorWeb) are not described in this document.
