# Download Location

Once you have registered your account and logged in to your companies web portal, you will be directed to the landing page. 

The software download page is under the home tab on the left side of the screen as shown in [figure 9](#figure-9).

On the right side of the screen will be a list of Cordel Ground Station releases. Clicking on the link will open a drop down as shown in [figure 10](#figure-10).

Click on the most recent release to start the download

# Installation

## Cordel Ground Station

Run the installer package (Cordel Ground Station-5.*.*.msi) that was downloaded above. It will start an installation wizard and display the window in [figure 11](#figure-11):

> ℹ️ For Version 5.0 and later, Ground Station will be installed to “C:\Program Files\Corridor”.

Click **Next** to start the installation process. Once all files have been installed the following window is displayed in [figure 12](#figure-12).

## .Net Desktop Core

> ⚠️ Cordel Ground Station requires the latest **Microsoft .Net Core Desktop** so click the link to **Download Microsoft .Net Core **and the website in [figure 13](#figure-13) will appear:

Download and install the appropriate package suitable (either x64 or x86).

Launch the Installer (windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.*-win-x64.exe) and select **Install** (shown in [figure 14](#figure-14)) to commence the .Net Core installation process:

Upon successful installation the screen in [figure 15](#figure-15) will be shown:

From the window in [figure 15](#figure-15) click **Close **and switch back to the Cordel installer window.

## Finishing up

From the window in [figure 16](#figure-16) click **Finish** to start the Cordel Ground Station software.

Cordel Ground Station will then open to a login screen shown in [figure 17](#figure-17)

# Launching Cordel Ground Station and Login

After successful installation, Cordel Ground Station can be found under windows start menu as shown in [figure 18](#figure-18).

For ease of use, creating a desktop shortcut will skip locating it in the start menu each time.

To create a desktop shortcut, from the start menu click on the Cordel Ground Station button and drag it onto the desktop.

After launching Cordel Ground Station you will be required to sign in. After successful login the screen in [figure 19](#figure-19) is displayed:

The error message tiles in [figure 19](#figure-19) appear because there is no unit connected and Ground Station can’t find a current GPS coordinate to show. Simply zoom out to verify an internet connection by loading in map tiles as shown in [figure 20](#figure-20).

# Future Updates

Cordel Ground Station will automatically check for new updates. This is performed after a successful login has occurred and a network connection is available. Updates can be mandatory or optional.

Mandatory updates will only be published when major bugs or security issues are found and fixed.

Optional updates are released to improve functionality, fix bugs and add new functionality.
