# Regular Lens Cleaning

Maintaining the effectiveness of the LiDAR sensor and camera system involves regular cleaning of the lenses. Monthly cleaning of the sensor lens and camera lens is recommended to ensure precise and accurate data capture and image quality. This routine maintenance activity is essential for preventing any accumulation of dirt, dust, or other debris that might obstruct the sensor's performance or hinder the camera's image quality. The cleaning schedule can be adjusted based on the level of buildup and environmental factors specific to the operational environment.

### LiDAR Sensor:

1. **Dust and Debris Removal:** Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove any loose dust or debris from the LiDAR sensor's lens surface. Avoid applying excessive pressure to prevent scratching.
2. **Visual Inspection:** After cleaning, perform a visual inspection to ensure the lens is free from debris or significant scratches.
3. **Adjust Cleaning Frequency:** Depending on the operational conditions, consider adapting the cleaning frequency to ensure optimal sensor performance. Increased environmental exposure or dust-prone surroundings may necessitate more frequent cleaning.

### Camera Lens:

1. **Dust and Debris Removal:** Similar to the LiDAR sensor, use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove any loose dust or debris from the camera lens surface. Exercise caution to avoid scratching the lens.
2. **Visual Inspection:** After cleaning, perform a visual inspection to ensure the camera lens is free from residue.
3. **Adjust Cleaning Frequency:** Similar to the LiDAR sensor, adapt the cleaning frequency based on operational conditions for optimal image capture.
4. **Ensure Camera positioning has remained centred:** The camera module has the ability to be freely rotated and fixed in multiple positions on the ball joint. Ensure that the set position has not drifted

## Mechanical Checks

Bi-annual mechanical checks are pivotal to guarantee the system's stability and reliability. A comprehensive examination of all fastenings and connectors should be performed to ensure their proper functionality and security. If an issue is identified within this inspection, please contact Cordel support for guidance on how to remedy the issue.
